Follow Friday - A Quick Twitter Poll #followfriday #ff

Follow Friday is a meme that has been running on Twitter for some time now where every Friday Twitter in its entirety gets flooded out with people telling you who to follow and sometimes, if you're lucky why you should follow them.

So I thought I'd throw it out there and see what you thought.

I asked:
How many followers do you get from Follow Friday and more to the point, how many do you follow?

Kellye9@LStacey Re FF: ppl should just give one or two with a DESCRIPTION of why they follow. Then it could be useful & I might actually look..7 minutes ago from Twitterrific in reply to LStacey

I've never followed everyone from Follow Friday, and I don't think I've ever gotten a follower from it. I tend to find Follow Friday posts ridiculously obnoxious and ignore them. If someone's overly enthusiastic and posts more than one Follow Friday post, I tend to drop them.

The tweet I got the link to this poll from is the first time I've seen a Follow Friday tweet that included any text or utility whatsoever. Up until that one, every single Follow Friday post I've ever seen has been: "#ff @someperson @someotherperson @melinda @joe @spam @whoever @dave @jennifer @smokey @hung21guy @foo @bar @naf" and that's it. It's useless and it's spam.
