Now PLEASE stop ripping me off... Thanks!

Many moons ago I created a whle bunch of demo content for a music production application called Fruityloops (now called FL Studio).  Ever since then that music has been (vaguely) remixed more times than I've had hot dinners... This is nice.  I like this.  Unfortunately, another thing that happens a lot is that people try to pass it off as being their own.  This is not nice.  I do NOT like this.

I'm not going to start taking people to court over it. It's not like they are going to make any commercial gains or even mean any real harm by it so I'm taking the passive approach and uploading the originals to YouTube as this seems to be where it is happening most.  My theory is that mine should rise to the top because they have the distinct advantage of not being fake.  Also, I have pretty good web reach.

Funny thing is that none of the songs in question are even that good!  :D

This is pure truth actually. It is extremely impolite to do such things, things like ripping famous or unknown songs off and then making yourself author of such ... I don't even know how to call that.I even have noticed that some guys just replace old drum loops with instruments or voices in FL patterns and make their own songs. He he, that is embarrassing.Shame on you all!!!!

I have followed this song and many of the songs like it on FL, I have not "remixed it" or taken things from it. I have looked through it and learned from it. It has become my favorite song out of all of the songs listed in the FL's "Cool Stuff". Today I created something from it, the original was too long and too fast. I slowed it down to 100BPM and dropped a large portion of the song. Other than that it was untouched. All author information goes to "pilchard" as it was the original creator of the song. But It is copyrighted. I would like to use this song with your permission, in its shortened, slowed form for a simple step game much like "Dance Dance Revolution". I have included my email and would greatly appreciate it if you would just say yay or nay. You get all the credit, and it gets passed around a bit. If you would like a copy of the shortened/slowed song before saying yes or no, just toss me an email and I will send it in an attachment.

Thanks,
JR Sloan

Funny how your Original Tzachitx only has 400 views. You should take it as a compliment that people are trying to pass your songs as their own. Think of it as your music is sneaking into unsuspecting audiences and because of that people will be able to hear something you made. (even if its apart of someone else's [crappy] remix ) And actually people that re-posted your song without editing it are giving your site hits. Because people then can look up "Pilchard" and find you. That's where I came from.

Anyways cool music. Why haven't you done more songs for fruity loops?
